Linnsburg - Lester Adam Grenard, 56, Rt 2, Linnsburg, died Thursday evening in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Mr. Grenard was a 25-year-employee of Allison Division of General Motors. He was a WWII veteran of the Army and served in the Pacific Theater with 38th Division. Mr. Grenard was a member of Mace United Methodist Church and attended Waynetown and Crawfordsville schools. Born June 6, 1920, near Waynetown, he was a son of Floyd and May Konkle (Kunkle) Grenard. He married Maxine Wilson Feb 7, 1943 at Wingate. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Charles of Richland, Wash and Stephen of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Judy James, Indianapolis; two brothers, Harold of Linden and James of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Kincaid of New Market and Mrs. Ruth Caplinger of Lafayette; and 3 grandchildren. Mr. Grenard was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Victor Link officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. The family requests donations to be made to Mace United Methodist Church.
